Flores

Flores is a painting and sewing artwork created in 2021, measuring 124×76 cm. This piece captures a surreal dialogue between two flowers made of light. One flower exclaims, “Yo me voy!” (“I go”), while the other responds, “Where are you going? Don’t you see you have roots?” The artwork reflects on the tension between movement and belonging, questioning the ability to break free when one’s roots run deep. Painted between San Cristóbal and Puerto Escondido, this piece merges vibrant storytelling with textile art.
