DE-TOUCH
A deep project developed in the heart of Berlin, De-Touch—a figurative painting series that explores the missteps and complexities of human touch.
The works in this series vary in size and technique, primarily using oil and acrylics. Like any form of art, De-Touch is an obsession, a collision of two sensory dimensions: the ephemeral and material sensation of touch and the unchangeable essence of visual painting.
The exploration of multiple senses naturally intersected with the Impress project, leading to a seamless fusion. The artist reflects:
“Normally, the beauty of a painting can only be admired once it’s complete, unlike the energy of a musical note, which you experience from the very first sound until it fades away.”
But what is it that he truly seeks to touch?
Is it reason, the mathematics of emotion, the spark of the instant?
The answer is not the focal point. Instead, the artist proposes an old-new approach to acquiring knowledge—one that engages all the senses of the body, beginning with touch.
